How your baby's growing:
Your baby now weighs about 2 1/2 pounds (like a butternut squash) and is a tad over 15 inches long from head to heel. His muscles and lungs are continuing to mature, and his head is growing bigger to make room for his developing brain. To meet his increasing nutritional demands, you'll need plenty of protein, vitamins C, folic acid, and iron. And because his bones are soaking up lots of calcium, be sure to drink your milk (or find another good source of calcium, such as cheese, yogurt, or enriched orange juice). This trimester, about 250 milligrams of calcium are deposited in your baby's hardening skeleton each day.
Stats:
How far along: 29 weeks
Sleep: Some days are better than others. I am still getting up a lot and moving around a lot. Nick has taken to sleeping the other bedroom a couple of nights so he can get some rest becuase I keep waking him up with all my nightly activities.
Maternity Clothes: Yep. I have to say that all of my maternity clothes are really comfortable so I don't mind it at all.
Food Cravings: Not really. I have been trying to be very conscious lately of what I eat. I have be upping my fruit and veggie intake. Also trying to limit any processed foods since they are loaded with sodium and that is not helping the blood pressure any.
Food aversions: It is still red meat. I have no desire for steak.
Symptoms I have: Lots of bathroom breaks and some mild soreness in my hips and legs depending on how I am sleeping. Other than that I'm good.
Doctor's Appointment: January 26. I go every 2 weeks now.
Movement: He doesn't stop. I can just feel my stomach now and tell exactly where he is. Normally he is hanging out on my left side. Maybe he is going to be a lefty like me :)
Belly Button: Still an innie :)
What else?: I have started cooking a lot more which is more like me. I went a while where I didn't want to cook at all and we kept ordering out but now I am totally into the homemade meals. I think Pinterest may have a little to do with this. I have been finding some amazing recipes on there.
Also, Nick and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary last Friday. We ended up going to dinner at McGuire's and I have to say I had the absolute best piece of salmon of my life. It was amazing.
