Post Baby Weight

For the most part, this blog will be about Brandon and all the fun adventures and milestones that I will get to experience with him.  I also want to be able to use this blog to post about getting back into shape post baby.  I ended up gaining a total of 45 lbs during the pregnancy (I gained like 15 in the last month).  I have been lucky so far in that I have lost almost all of the weight I gained, I only have 8 pounds to go.  However, I am hoping that I will be able to lose much more than just the remaining 8 pounds.  

I will say that the places that the weight has come off is different than where it has been.  My stomach is definitely going to be a tough place to lose the weight since I had a c section but I think the best thing to do it take it day by day and it will slowly come off.  

Today Brandon and I went for our first walk.  I plan on trying to walk at least 3-4 days a week to start.  I was only able to do about 25 minutes today.  You just don't realize how hard it can be to get back to normal after a c section.  I definitely think that getting back into somewhat of a walking routine will help with the recovery as well as help get some of this weight off.  

I know that I won't be able to do anything other that walking until I am at least 6 weeks postpartum but at least this is a start.  And, Brandon really seems to like the walking.  He was cooing and smiling almost the whole time.  

In case anyone is interested, I am using the Baby Trend Jogger Travel System in Green Tea.  So far I have only  positive things to say about this travel system.  It's lightweight, easy to use and has plenty of storage.  Plus, it's great that the travel system came as a jogger so I wouldn't have to have 2 strollers.
