Being new to this, thinking of myself as a “MOM” is kind of difficult to grasp. You always
think growing up about how may kids you may want (if any), if they will be boys
or girls, when you want them, what they will be like, etc. I don’t necessarily think anyone actually
thinks about themselves BEING a Mom and all that really entails. I now realize that I have this adorable
little man that I love more than life and want to spend every waking moment
with.
Nick and I had our first outing without Brandon last
Tuesday. We dropped Brandon off at
Nick's parents and went out to Destin for some sushi. As we were driving away I could feel myself
tearing up. This would be the first time
since birth that someone else would be in charge of Brandon's well-being. We were only away for about 2 hours and it
was great to have a date night post baby but I was so happy to get back to
Brandon. I am going to be a mess when I
have to drop him off at daycare that first day :( The good news is they have webcam's so I will still be able to see him while at work. Such a great invention for new parents.
