Last Tuesday, Brandon and I had a fun little date night meeting up with some friends that were in town. We ventured out to a new restaurant that has just opened in Destin called Boshamps. Let me just say, if you visit this area; please eat here. Fabulous food, drinks and atmosphere. The restaurant had just had their opening night the night before and whadaya know, they are holding a fishing tourney. Fishing and Destin go hand in hand so it is only right that a new restaurant on the Harbor hold a tourney during opening week. We had a fantastic time and Brandon loved watching the boats roll in along with all the fish being brought in and weighed.
I wish I would have gotten pics of the food but from what I have eaten and heard, everything is delicious. Brandon and I snacked on the Corn and Crab Chowder, Fried Green Tomatoes and Jumbo Lump Crab, and a half dozen Oysters Rockefeller. A good friend says that the Oyster Boshamps are, and I quote, "So good you'll wanna go home and slap your momma." (or something like that) I will definitely have to give those a try next visit.
If you are ever in or around the Destin, FL area be sure to check them out.
Alas, today's #BlogEveryDayinMay topic is what makes you uncomfortable. I will touch on a few things here.
1. Uncomfortable pauses in a conversation. Ya know, the part where you aren't sure if they are still talking or done and if you can start yet. Yeah, hate that. Makes me super uncomfortable because I don't want to be rude an interrupt but don't want to sit there just staring at the other person either.
2. Uncomfortable shoes. OK, so I love shoes, BUT I live in Florida and could seriously live in flip flops everyday of the year. I refuse to wear uncomfortable shoes now. Perfect example, last week I wore a pair to work that were killing my feet and decided right then that I was going to walk my happy tail downstairs to the village and purchase a new pair. And that's exactly what I did. Then I threw the old one's out because I knew I wouldn't wear them again.
3. Trying to parallel park. This is just a no brainer I can't parallel park and I refuse to try because I don't want other cars waiting for me to try and pull in/pull out/pull in/ pull out of a parking spot a thousand times trying to not hit the other cars or the curb. So, I just don't do it. I will drive around numerous times looking for another place to park instead of trying to parallel park. I'm terrible at it. I know. I don't care.
Shew I can't parallel park either! I'll walk a milk if I have to, ha!
