This was definitely a busy weekend for us. Brandon stayed at his MeMaw and Papa's house Friday night so Nick and I could have a date night. We ended up going to dinner at Bonefish Grill, which Nick had never eaten at before (how is that even possible). I love Bonefish. The service is fantastic and the food is always good. I have never had a bad experience at the one here in Destin, plus it was close to the Destin Commons so we wouldn't have to go far to catch the movie we were planning to see, Superman.
We decided to do the late IMAX 3D showing at 10:45pm so we had plenty of time to kill. We walked around the Commons and just had a good time window shopping for a bit. I wanted to make sure we were able to get good seats in the theatre so we went ahead and stood in line around 10:00pm. Of course, we cannot go anywhere without running into people we know and this was no different. Nick ran into about half of his old wrestling teammates from high school who were also going to see this showing. Great minds think alike I guess. I'm not going to ruin the movie for anyone wanting to see it but I will say it was good and Henry Cavil is amazing to look at. haha You should also check out the show The Tudors if you want to see more of him (this show is/was not kid friendly so make sure you watch it with adults only).
Saturday was a fairly chill day. I had to show property to some customers but other than that we pretty much just lounged around the house and relaxed. I had been hoping to make it to the beach for a bit but it has been ridiculously hot lately, like 90 plus 100% humidity so it feels like 120 outside. I'm just not about that so inside we stayed.
Sunday we spent the day taking care of Daddy. Nick was able to both spend the day with his family but also get some much needed alone time for himself. He does so much for us that I wanted him to be able to just relax and really not just have a day but more of the weekend to do what he wanted. It's so great to have such a supportive and loving man not only by my side but also as Brandon's daddy. We both lucked out.
Such a lovely post to read ... and date nights are so important in a relationship. I look forward to finally being able to have those with my husband!
